Wood Badge 1

GVA WB1 - October 2012

GVA has scheduled one Woodbadge Part One early this year.  Currently this is the only Woodbadge Part One planned so please don’t wait for a second one.

Woodbadge Part One is the required course each Scouter agrees to take when they sign on to be a Scouter.
Scouters should take a Woodbadge part one in their first 6 months  or as soon as possible when they change Sections.
Woodbadge Part One provides the necessary tools to help Scouters actively participate in their Sections and enables them to deliver a safer more interesting program.

The Registration deadline is Thursday, 11 October

Please use the Training Registration Form to register.  You can also register using the new Trial Online Registration.
Either drop off the form at Scout House or email to the Course Administrator

When:

  • Friday 19 October 7 pm to Sunday 21 October at 1 pm at Camp Barnard

We expect to be training all Sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturer/Rover

While in-person training is the preferred method of delivery – online training is an option for those who cannot get to in-person training.

Remember - Our goal is to have all new Scouters receive there Woodbadge Part One prior to Christmas.

Sign up early, encourage  your new Scouters and those Scouters changing section to join us.

Watch this page for information about other Wood Badge courses on Vancouver Island! There are tentative plans for at least two other WB1 courses to be hosted by other VI areas throughout the year.
