First Aid Training
Standard First Aid Course 6th & 7th April 2013
Standard First Aid is a necessary qualification for the Chief Scout's and Queen’s Venturer Awards, and at least one Scouter must hold the qualification in any Section camping. A 2-day St John's Ambulance Standard First Aid Course will be held for Scouts, Venturers and Scouters 6-7 April 2013 (both days) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at CFB Esquimalt Work Point. The course capacity is 24 in 2 classes. A minimum of 4 Scouters is required to maintain ratio for the 2 classes.
The cost is $35 (increase is due to changed processing costs).
Nominations for the course should be sent by e-mail to Randy Maze at the address below. The 24 spaces will be filled on a first come-first served basis for specifically named registrants. No places can be held without names. A waiting list will be established once the course is filled.
Course registration forms from the GVA website must follow with payment (one check per Group from the Group Committee) to Scout House. Youth can use the adult form, with the parent signing instead of the Group Commissioner.
Registrations and payment must be received by 31 March 2013 or the spaces will be reallocated. If for any reason you cannot attend, please let Randy know so the space can be reallocated. The course is a popular one - there should be no reason for an empty training space.
