Cold Talk

Wednesday December 7th, 2011

The Cold Talk is a 90 minute session on clothing and personal camping equipment to help prepare you Be Prepared for winter camping on the west coast. Scouters Doug Scott and Ross Benton will facilitate a conversation and demonstrate types of gear that will enable you to get out and about with greater confidence and comfort to events like snow camps on Mount Washington and RoVent in Manning Park. Topics of the session include clothing, sleeping systems, and mechanisms to enable youth to participate.

The session is open to all Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Scouters. There is no cost for this event.

In order to ensure that we set up enough seats, please register by December 5th by sending an email to Ross Benton (outdoors@victoriascouts.ca) with the Subject Line: GVA Cold Talk and the number of folks planning on attending from your group.
