Beaver Scouts Jungle Camp

Mt Doug Park Picnic Area
April 13, 2013

Check in - 9:15 - 9:30am. Go home - 3:00pm.

Jungle Camp is a fun, daylong event for White Tail Beavers to introduce them to the Cub Scout program.

They will get to experience putting up a tent, hear some ‘Jungle Lore’ that the Cub program is based on, learn to tie some knots, learn about Cub badges and play Cub games. In conjunction with linking activities such as Pack visits, the aim of this event is to familiarize White Tails with the Cub program to ease the transition from Beavers to Cubs.

Cost is $7.50 per youth and $5.00 per leader/adult
Parents: to register, talk to your Section leaders.

The registration fee includes lunch (hot dog, snack, fruit, juice box).

Colonies must register as a group.
Colony registration form and fees are due to Scout House by March 30th.

Use the GVA Area Registration form.
Each person registered by the deadline will also get a campfire blanket badge.

Reminder – Colonies must provide appropriate ratio with screened adults for this event; however if your Colony is having trouble with this, there is the possibility to combine smaller groups together in order to meet ratio requirements.  If this is of interest to your group, please contact the Event Coordinator, Christina Cook at activities@victoriascouts.ca

There is no permanent shelter on site, so Colonies should consider bringing a tarp or picnic shelter in case of bad weather.  Appropriate dress is also important – Mt Doug Park can be windy in April.
You may also want to consider a Colony picnic blanket for lunchtime.
